The reason I like to work out

I began weightlifting because I wanted to look better and get stronger. I started lifting weights for basic reasons. And honestly, that’s still a big part of why I go. The process of watching your body transform through dedicated effort brings me satisfaction because it proves your hard work over natural luck and genetic factors.

The gym evolved from its original purpose of physical development into a space where I found genuine enjoyment. The weight room has become my favorite daily activity. The weight room provides constant results to anyone who decides to step inside. Your dedication to showing up at the gym will always result in some form of progress. The weight room provides you with various benefits which include weight increases and improved technique and time spent away from your schoolwork and deadlines.

Through weightlifting I have learned that it enhances my athletic performance as an athlete. The time I spend under the bar leads to improved strength and better explosive power and enhanced water control. The sense of accomplishment from weightlifting progress in the mirror is satisfying but the feeling of overcoming personal limits brings me greater satisfaction.

Weightlifting follows a basic pattern which includes lifting weights followed by recovery time before starting again. The basic nature of weightlifting appeals to me because it provides a clear structure for my workouts. The program helps me stay focused while providing a break from other responsibilities and drives me to achieve higher performance levels in both body and mind. Weightlifting has become an essential part of not only my UMW identity but my personal identity as well. I will plan to continue lifting without any plans to stop.
